Hi, my name is Sherayne Welch and I am an RMHCI in the state of Florida. I was born in New Jersey, but spent a large part of my life in Trinidad and Tobago. I have been in the field of Mental Health Counseling for 6 years and feel very lucky to do what I love for work. I am an easygoing, empathetic and impartial therapist who has a great passion for counseling. I enjoy seeing my clients win and I do my best to help my clients achieve their therapy goals at their own pace.
My Therapeutic Approach:
My modality of choice is the Client Centered approach. This approach is my go-to because it feels very natural to me. I enjoy using tools such as motivational interviewing and active listening when working with different clients.
How I Work With Clients:
I work with various types of clients, from acute mental illness to severe mental illness. I truly enjoy working with underserved and minority groups.
I provide an open, conversational, non judgemental environment for my clients. It is the most important thing for me to make sure that my clients know that there is nothing we cannot discuss because everything is important to achieving their therapeutic goals.
